Reign of Titans
Epic cinematic stepped animation and game assets adaptation for the competitive titan-battle strategy game.
The Challenge
Creating an epic atmosphere for a competitive IP that feels true to the brand and distinct from traditional broadcast animation, while preserving budget constraints and timeline pressures.
Our Role
Asset adaptation, pre-production and production. Gasolina adaptated of the original game assets to a Toon rendering pipeline and provided a budget-friendly approach to 3D animation.
The Solution
We used a mixed-media approach combining stepped animation, 3D depth with toon shading and 2D environments to create a powerful motion-comic with a visceral aesthetic for the titans and their world.
The Outcome
We produced 8 episodes of the animated series and provided our client with a trustworthy method to produce their show in ways other studios had not been able to.
